Job Description We have an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Engineer to join our business development team to engage with promising market opportunities, in Italy and abroad, in order to generate, track and manage relationship with hot and early stage smart grid market. This will be done in collaboration with business development and field counterparts to generate sales opportunities. If you have a passion for renewable energy, technology and the ability to get people excited about your company, especially within the fast paced, energetic smart-grid ecosystem, then this is the role for you.
This person will be responsible for generating and capturing new market opportunities at customer meetings and events, as well as ensuring the tracking and managing of all relationships that were generated, continuously delivering value to the company.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business development and marketing to drive the management into specific market opportunities and regions
  • Organize and participate to road-show events to generate new market relationships
  • Capture, track, and advance qualified engagements in CRM leads management system
  • Recommend the most suitable solution according to the customer requirements and solutions
  • Follow-up on opportunities and search for additional revenue opportunities
  • Engaging decision-makers at utility companies and PV + energy storage installers to profile their specific purchasing plans and decision criteria to join the Regalgrid® solution
Basic Requirements

Job Description We have an exciting opportunity available for a Software Development Engineer to join our R&D team to engage with promising market opportunities, in Italy and abroad, in order to design, develop and improve our smart grid platform. This will be done in collaboration with business development and field counterparts to generate performance improvements for our customers. If you have a passion for renewable energy, technology and deep knowledge and interest in software design, especially within the fast paced, energetic smart-grid ecosystem, then this is the role for you.
In this role, you will be working with your design team colleagues on projects like hardware bring up, software tests, system design. Especially, you will be responsible for design and development of software architecture to meet our customers’ requirements from design of conceptual prototypes and architecture, through development into full functional and tested release.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business development and marketing to define new platform goals related to specific market opportunities
  • Lead project teams, coordinating other team members and suppliers in order to keep schedule on track
  • Design new software and firmware architecture and drive the requirement definition
  • Develop in either procedural or object-oriented design method
  • Write source code, technical design and functional documentation
  • Develop drivers, protocols, application, algorithm, BSP, through the usage of OS based or lightweight architecture
  • Architect, design and deliver system software after specification of platform requirements
Basic Requirements
  • Experience in Software Design and Development
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of:
    • C, C++, C# programming skills, device driver & Software architecture
    • Mono and .Net
    • Capability of debugging, code instrumentation
    • Data acquisition, storage, integrity and formatting
    • Customization and bug tracking and revision control
    • Experience working with Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems

A Smart Grid Engineer is sought to join this team and assist with the technical design and delivery of production systems. This role requires someone with a working knowledge of the technology components and trends that intersect industrial control, power systems and ICT.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business development and marketing to define new platform goals related to specific market opportunities
  • Prepare system requirements, functional specifications, test specifications and other documentation for Regalgrid® projects
  • Design data interfaces between Regalgrid® platform and external devices, i.e. SCADA, Inverters, energy storage devices, smart meters
  • Integrate control and field instrumentation, measurement devices, test rigs and harnesses for production projects
  • Configuration, testing, and commissioning of Regalgrid® platform in production and pre-production environments
  • Provide technical support for customers
  • Maintain knowledge of latest research, development and trial activities in the domain and identify opportunities consistent with SGS capabilities, platforms and target markets
Basic Requirements
  • BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Control, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Experience with automation and control platforms
  • Have contributed to engineering projects involving elements of electrical engineering, systems integration and customer site commissioning
  • Understand software engineering lifecycle and documentation process for design, development and support
  • Understanding of utility communication architectures, standards and protocols, including: Modbus, IEC61850
  • Experience configuring communication protocol interfaces for Client/Server protocols
  • Experience with IT communication networking
  • Understanding of IT security practices and cyber security risks
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with build, deployment and administration of Windows and Linux platforms
  • Software development experience using IEC 61131-3, Java or C# programming languages

  • Experience commissioning and fault finding industrial control and measurement equipment
  • Understanding of grid regulation and DER in connection issues
