Our technological platform (hardware and software) enables the users to make the most of the renewable energy surplus generated by individual energy generating systems and the excess of battery capacity, sharing benefits with community members.

The architecture consists of three levels:

  1. Local: SNOCU (Smart NOde Control Unit), an innovative gateway, developed by us, which connects to the Regalgrid® platform. This unit transforms the energy flows into digital data and sends the appropriate commands to local devices to improve self-consumption within the community.
  2. Cloud: a server platform that manages all the data from the SNOCU units and processes the objectives of each system in real-time as a function of the expected consumption and generation.
  3. Remote: an archive server platform for the behavioral analysis of each system, to draw up the final statements regarding energy exchange, and for the remote diagnosis of the systems.

The Regalgrid® architecture integrates both new and existing photovoltaic systems, whether equipped with an energy storage system or not



Within the community, the Regalgrid® platform distributes the available energy flows in real time according to the needs of each individual node. In this way a balance between energy producers and consumers is achieved.


The table shows the comparison of the average aggregate values of three users who have installed an energy-generating photovoltaic system with and without Regalgrid® in their private homes.

With Regalgrid® the systems exchange energy with a priority logic regarding solar power consumption and the storage systems manage the surpluses or energy demands from other users.
Thanks to the Regalgrid® platform, the requirements for external power are reduced (-19%), thus improving self-consumption performance, and ultimately reducing the charge and discharge cycles of the batteries.
